Food & Beverage Team Leader, Hotel Indigo, Durham

As Food & Beverage Team Leader, you will be key to delivering a friendly and efficient service; to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests and ensure they have a great experience. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Services Manager you will be instrumental in leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing a team to be attentive to our guests needs from the moment they arrive with us. All whilst bringing your own unique charm and personality.

About us….

Located in the heart of the Historic city of Durham, the hotel mixes old with new in our Grade 2 listed building, within easy walking distance of the prime cultural, business and shopping districts.

This boutique style hotel includes 83 uniquely designed guest rooms.

Our hotel restaurant (Marco Pierre Whites) offers relaxed, simple dining alongside our Rotunda bar local craft beers and eclectic cocktails. 

Our Neighbourhood Coffeeshop offers guests and the public a sanctuary to catch up on emails, read a book or meet friends for a catch up.

Our Council Room gives guests the opportunity to dine privately, run conferences or celebrate their special day with us, holding weddings for up to 60 guests.

What is key….

As Food & Beverage Team Leader, key to your role will be:

  • Flexibility, working across all key serving periods (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) and throughout the hotel’s key dates across the year.
  • Attention to detail by delivering an exceptional level of service through a relaxed and professional approach.
  • Serving guests and passing on your excellent product knowledge of all food and beverage offerings to both the team and customers alike.
  • Working with the Food & Beverage Manager to lead and work as part of the wider hotel teams, delivering on all key metrics, across all our F&B outlets.
  • Encourage, set, and achieve the highest standards across all areas (customer service, hygiene, health & safety).
  • Assisting with other managerial tasks; including but not exclusively; rotas, compliance, brand standards and training.
